Hermoso de Mendoza has intervened during the act of historical evocation held next to the Revellín wall, which was attended by the acting spokesman for the La Rioja Government, Álex Dorado, members of the municipal Corporation, regional deputies and other authorities.

In the year 1523, the emperor spent almost three weeks in Logroño, from September 20 to October 9, in what has been the longest stay of a monarch in the city of Logroño in its entire history.
