Pamplona (EFE).- The president of the Association against Cancer in Navarra, Juan Franco, explained this Sunday that Navarra receives 10%, about 10 million euros, of the funds distributed by the association and that after Barcelona Madrid, is the third most.
Nearly 4,000 people have participated in the IX Pamplona March against Cancer whose objective is to raise funds for research. The green tide has once again filled the streets of Pamplona, with the aim of reaffirming its commitment to the fight against one of the socio-sanitary diseases that most affects the population.
All the participants, runners, athletes or entire families have attended, for yet another edition, the appointment with the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Navarra to support research and achieve the goal of achieving a 70% cure for the disease.
At 10:30 a.m., the acting mayor of Pamplona, Enrique Maya, together with the President of the Association in Navarra, Juan Franco, have cut the green ribbon, at the Puerta de Socorro de la Ciudadela, which led to the beginning of the March.
Juan Franco thanked the participation of all the participants in the march, as well as the collaborators and sponsors of the event, in addition to highlighting the importance of investing in research in order to eradicate the disease: “Without research, there is no cure.”
