València (EFE).- The spokeswoman for Compromís Àgueda Micó has announced her candidacy for the primaries to lead the coalition with Sumar for Valencia to the Congress of Deputies in the general elections.
Micó has announced that he will choose to lead the list after eleven years in Més Compromís, the majority party of Compromís, during the National Council held this Saturday in Valencia.
The primary process to choose the people who will occupy these candidacies of a coalition that will be called Compromís-Sumar: Sumem per guanyar will take place next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when it will conclude with the final results and the proclamation of the candidacies.
For Micó, “it is very important that there be a powerful Valencian voice in Congress, for the defense of Valencian interests and the social majority of Valencians and other citizens.”
Micó will bring to Congress the baggage and work of 11 years at the head of the Valencian coalition
The spokeswoman for Compromís has assured that she will bring to Congress the baggage and the work carried out during her eleven years at the head of the Valencian coalition to represent the Valencians.
On the other hand, Compromís has reported that when her resignation as general secretary becomes effective, it will propose to the executive that the position be held until the extraordinary congress of the Amparo Piquer coalition, current secretary of Organization and negotiator of the agreement with Sumar.
The Executive of Compromís has ratified this Friday the agreement of the coalition with Sumar to attend the general elections on July 23, a pact by which Compromís will be able to designate the people who will occupy positions 1 and 2 for Valencia to the Congress of the Deputies, in addition to all the even positions.
As for the Senate, the first place for Valencia will be chosen by Sumar, while the heads of the list of Castellón and Alicante will be designated by Compromís, in the same way as all the odd positions on the list.
