Oviedo (EFE).- The elected deputy of Podemos, Covadonga Tomé, has warned today that it would be premature to draw conclusions about the structure and composition of the future regional government on the basis of the “informal” and “corridor” contacts maintained up to now with the PSOE.
After collecting her credentials as a candidate from the Provincial Electoral Board, Tomé has indicated that “it is too soon” to address this issue, especially taking into account that the head of the PSOE list, Adrián Barbón, has warned that these negotiations will not be opened until the talks for the constitution of the town halls are not closed on June 17.
However, Tomé has already guaranteed, just as the IU has done with his three seats, that his vote will in no case make possible a hypothetical investiture of the PP candidate, Diego Canga, in the event that he adds to his seventeen seats the four of Vox and that of the sole representative of the Forum.
Entry into institutional politics
In addition, the head of the purple list, which has assured that it will face its first foray into institutional politics “with great courage and desire”, had announced in recent days that it would set up a negotiating commission to deal with future contacts with the PSOE in view of the formation of the Government, a power that the autonomous leadership of Podemos has also claimed for itself.
As for the result of the consultation held today among those registered in his party to give full powers to the national leadership to run on the Sumar platform for the general elections, Tomé has reiterated his position in favor of this agreement given that “it is what is asking all the people who want to vote for that electoral space”.
