Madrid (EFE).- Sumar’s ballots for the general elections on July 23 will carry an image with the face of his candidate for the Presidency of the Government and leader of the coalition, Yolanda Díaz.
This has been confirmed to EFE by sources from the second vice president’s team after adopting the decision in the negotiation process that she has undertaken with various political forces to form the left-wing coalition.
This strategy is the one that Podemos already used in its day when they printed the photograph of Pablo Iglesias in the 2014 European elections, the first in which the purple formation attended, and which led to its irruption in the institutions and in the political landscape.
He also did it later, already as leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, in the general elections of November 2019, and in the elections for the City Council and the Community of Madrid in May of that same year, when the image of Manuela appeared on the ballot papers Carmena and Errejón together on the two ballots, instead of the group’s logo, to make it easier to identify the candidacy.
