The Islamic State in Afghanistan
The Taliban have not released any further information about the nature of the explosion or whether it was an attack.
At the moment, no organization has claimed responsibility for the event, although IS has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks since the Taliban came to power in August 2021.

These operations by the security forces have cost the lives of prominent members of IS, according to the Taliban, such as the temporary head of operations in the northern province of Balkh and the second most popular face of the jihadist group, Zainuddin; IS council member Abu Omar Afridi; and the person in charge of military training, Ustad Salman Tajikistan, in several attacks last March.
