Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (EFE).- The Canarian Coalition is running out of time limits set after the 23J general elections were called to forge a great alliance with Canarian nationalist parties, in which Nueva Canarias is not currently in the negotiations, with the ultimate goal for the islands to be well represented in Congress, if possible through a group.
This was confirmed this Wednesday to EFE by sources from that party, who have specified that the negotiations underway are not intended to consolidate an electoral coalition, but rather a political coalition.
Although the two formations had started talks in recent days, in that alliance promoted by CC, the partner with whom he shared the list for Congress for Las Palmas in 2019, Nueva Canarias, is not currently present, a party with which he has not found an understanding to repeat electoral coalition.
The intention of CC, at a time when political polarization prevails, is to establish a nationalist platform that “gives a voice to the Canary Islands” in Congress and defends the interests of this territory.
Among other formations, the Canary Islands Coalition expects the Agrupación Herreña Independiente to join that electoral alliance for 23J, a party that today signs its adherence to its pact with the PP to form the new Government of the Canary Islands. EFE
