Madrid (EFE).- Renfe has put tickets on sale this Tuesday so that young Europeans between 18 and 30 years old can travel between June 15 and September 15 with discounts of between 50% and 90% depending on the service, as reported in a statement.
Specifically, the discounts will be 50% on AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Intercity and Euromed trains, with a maximum discount of 30 euros per ticket; 50% for Avant single titles; and 90% for the rest of the Media Distancia services or the metric gauge network.
In addition, a 50% discount will also be offered on the Interrail Global Flexible for 10 days in two months, when it is marketed through Renfe.
To be eligible for this measure, young people from Spain or from any European Union (EU) country who were born between 1993 and 2005 must register at least 24 hours before purchasing their first ticket on the website of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
After this registration, which can be done from June 1, young people will receive a code on their mobile phone or electronic code that will be valid for the entire period.
Renfe has wanted to complement this measure and will offer young people a free trip to spend in the three months following the summer as long as they are members of its Más Renfe loyalty program and make two journeys between June 15 and September 15.
