Madrid (EFE) They are a tailor-made suit”.
The members of the platform, who declare themselves independent of any union or professional association, explain in a statement that they have decided to take this step after having contacted the Corporation to rectify the bases.
The plaintiffs first appeal the requirement that they consider “exclusive” of a minimum year of experience in the professional categories of Group 1 to appear in the free shift.
They maintain that, although the president of RTVE, Elena Sánchez, said in Parliament that “this requirement does not violate the principle of free competition and is in line with requesting higher university education for certain standard occupations”, the percentage of those excluded in the lists of the categories published so far “is very high”, it even reaches 80%.
In addition, other reasons are alleged for the demand of the bases that, according to the platform, “leave valuable professionals who have not previously worked at RTVE with practically no real options to get a job.
They demand that the “excessive” proportion of the competition phase (40%) compared to the opposition phase (60%) be eliminated and they demand that more weight be given to the opposition so that the merits do not overdetermine the final grade.
They also ask that the “disproportion” in the score between the services provided on RTVE be eliminated compared to those provided in other media, that the eliminatory nature of the competition phase prior to the practical exercise be revoked and that professional merit be scored abroad.
In addition to this platform, the Federation of Associations of Journalists of Spain (FAPE) and the Madrid Press Association (APM) have challenged the call for places for journalists for not requiring a degree in Journalism or Audiovisual Communication and have requested that dictate other bases that are required.
