Pamplona (EFE).- The Navarrese town of Sangüesa paid homage this Tuesday to the national policemen Bonifacio Martín Hernández and Julián Embid Luna, the last fatalities of ETA in Navarra.
The event, organized by the town council, took place in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, next to the monolith that commemorates the two national policemen, who died on May 30, 2003 when a sticky bomb placed by ETA exploded in their vehicle.

The tribute was attended by the Minister for the Presidency, Equality, Public Service and the Interior, Javier Remírez, and the Government Delegate in Navarra, José Luis Arasti, as well as councilors from the corporation, headed by the mayoress, Lucía Echegoyen.
Some thirty members of the National Police, Provincial Police, Civil Guard and Municipal Police have also been present, as well as relatives of those murdered, and residents of the town.
During the tribute, bouquets of flowers were placed next to the monolith and the Superior Police Chief of Navarra gave the relatives of the victims some plaques and the first professional license of the two police officers.
