Madrid (EFE).- In the absence of confirming the exact date of the return of “Operación Triunfo”, this time on Prime Video, the popular musical contest that Chenoa will present starts its engines with novelties: weekly galas of 90 minutes, daily programs with the Academy news and 24-hour programming on YouTube.
“Once again ‘OT’ is going to make history, we will be the first to broadcast an entertainment program live for 14 weeks. I am excited and happy because everyone is watching us”, said Tinet Rubira, director of Gestmusic at a presentation press conference.
The selection of contestants will take place during the months of July and September in nine cities: Barcelona July 3, Zaragoza (6), Santiago de Compostela (10), Bilbao (12), Valencia (17), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria September 6 , Malaga (11), Seville (14), Madrid (19).
With Chenoa at the forefront of the format, replacing Roberto Leal, the one who was a “triumph” of the first edition has recognized that in this way she closes a circle in her life. “I return home, I am still trying to manage the news both professionally and personally because it is very strong. But I am very happy ”, he pointed out.
“I know there is pressure and I am going to be super nervous, but I am not going to hide it. And it will be noticed, as it will also be noticed, the affection I have for the program in which I was born as an artist”, said the singer, who will combine this work with that of a judge in “Tu cara me suena”.
Shorter Galas and Daily Recaps
For this new edition, the galas will last 90 minutes. “It is something that (the fans) have been demanding from us and we are going to give it to them. We want the entire part of the gala to be solely focused on the music and who is leaving or who is staying”, said Rubira.
In addition, the “Chat OT” will be preserved, a space with interviews with the contestants, with the presence of the expelled and which will review the highlights of the gala.
And, as a novelty for Prime Video, every day there will be a magazine with a presenter and collaborators in which they will analyze and comment on what is happening at the Academy, with all the “controversies”.
In the same way, Rubira has ensured that “the hard core of the faculty is maintained, with Noemí Galera as director of the academy. Manu Guix will remain as musical director, Mamen Márquez as voice ‘coach’ and Vicky Gómez as choreographer. The others will be new faces that we will reveal ”, she has detailed.
Another of the changes in the new edition will be the Academy, which will be bigger than ever, will have more natural light and will be more eco-sustainable, explained the director of Gestmusic. However, it will be recorded again at the Parc Audiovisual de Catalunya, located in Terrasa (Barcelona).
