Toledo (EFE).- The PSOE of Castilla-La Mancha has affirmed that it respects the decision of the President of the Government and General Secretary of the Socialists, Pedro Sánchez, to call early general elections for July 23.
He has also shared the objective of “resolving the support of the PSOE” to continue facing the economic and social challenges of the country “from a perspective of progress.”
In a press release, the Castilian-Manchego socialists have analyzed the advancement of general elections that Sánchez announced this Monday in the face of the poor electoral result of the PSOE this Sunday in the municipal and regional elections.
Analysis of the regional elections
In the case of the autonomous community, the PSOE of Castilla-La Mancha has highlighted that it has obtained an absolute majority in the regional parliament, with 17 seats, and has increased by 7,000 votes and 1 percent compared to the 2019 elections. .
In total, the regional PSOE has achieved 483,500 votes in these regional elections, compared to the 476,469 it achieved in 2019.
Likewise, he has highlighted that the regional president, Emiliano García-Page, has been elected with 45 percent of the support, that is, the highest percentage of votes for the PSOE in all of Spain.
In addition, it is the second best result for a regional candidate after the one obtained by the Popular Party in the Community of Madrid.
It has also stressed that it has been the force with the most votes in the regional elections in 704 municipalities of the 919 existing in Castilla-La Mancha, which represent more than 80% of the inhabitants of the region.
He has also highlighted that the PSOE has obtained an 11.35 percent difference with the PP, which has obtained 361,155 votes -33.65%- which makes them the largest difference with the Popular Party in all of Spain.
