The DANA (isolated depression at high levels), which since last Thursday afternoon covered a good part of Spain and which yesterday still left large accumulations of rain in the center of the peninsula and in areas of the Levant, has begun to move away to make way for a somewhat calmer electoral weekend, although still unstable and with precipitation.
Today, Saturday, the influence of the low pressures located to the west of Portugal continues and, once again, the showers accompanied by storms are the protagonists, more in the afternoon, in addition to the low temperatures for this time of year, between 5 and 10 degrees below than normal at some points.
Yellow alert in six communities
The day thus began with weather warnings in Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and Galicia.
In these communities, as well as in Melilla, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established a yellow alert for the risk of storms and/or rain.
In the western half of the country, especially, the forecast is that 15 liters per square meter can accumulate in just one hour.
This time, the Valencian Community -specifically Alicante- and the Region of Murcia have woken up on yellow alert but due to coastal phenomena.
The atmospheric instability has also brought temperatures lower than normal for this time of year in many places, especially in the southern half. This contrasts the forecast of maximums of 28 degrees in Figueres, 29 degrees in Zaragoza or 26 degrees in Palma with 17 degrees in Toledo, 19 in Granada or Cáceres and 20 in Madrid.

On election day on Sunday the rains will be almost generalized, both in the peninsula and in the two archipelagos.
The atmospheric instability will continue, with cloudy skies, cloudiness of evolution and showers and storms in a good part of the central area, the Pyrenees, the Levante area and Ibiza, which may be locally strong and with hail.
Cloudy intervals in the rest of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with the possibility of some showers and storms, of a weaker nature; Less likely in Catalonia, the Cantabrian coast and the extreme southwest of the peninsula.
In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals and evolutionary cloudiness, with showers on the islands of greater relief, although they are not ruled out on the rest of the islands.
