Palma (EFE).- The PSIB-PSOE candidate for the presidency of the Government, Francina Armengol, the first woman to hold the position, aspires to repeat the 28M term for the third consecutive term. Whether she succeeds or not, as she affirms in an interview with Efe, she will continue “being a fighter defending the interests” of the islands.
Housing is the priority area of the socialist candidate, who aspires to reissue a left-wing pact in the community. As she declares in the interview, the development of state law on the islands is one of the tasks that she will emphasize as of May 29, if she manages to continue in the Government.
Balearic Islands: “environmental, feminist and fair”
QUESTION: Define the Balearic Islands in one sentence.
ANSWER: I like to define the Balearic Islands as an ecological, feminist and fair society.
Q: If you win and repeat as president, your first step would be…
A: The first measure will be insurance on housing issues. We have already started a commission to be able to apply the state housing law and, therefore, we will already have studied the measures to be able to apply this national housing law here in the Balearic Islands.
Q: Three words with which you would like the community to be defined at the end of your new term.
A: Well, I would say the same (ecologist, feminist and fair). I will add, after this mandate, that it has been very complex due to the covid, a society that knows how to protect itself, take care of each other.
Q: What series would you like to see filmed in the Balearic Islands?
A: I am not one for series, but a series that promotes what is the reality of this society, which is a rich society culturally, patrimonially and environmentally.
