Madrid (EFE) annul the red card that the Brazilian player received in that same match.
After the intense controversy derived from the racist insults received by Vinicius, Competition announced late on Tuesday “to impose on Valencia a sanction of partial closure of the sports venue for a period of five games and a pecuniary sanction of 45,000 euros for the commission of very serious offences”.
It specifies that “the partial closure will affect the so-called Grada Kempes, and will be complied with in accordance with the provisions of article 57.1 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code.”

Valencia will appeal the sanction for the insults to Vinicius
Valencia’s reaction came a few hours later, and club sources told EFE that the sanction will be appealed as it is considered “unfair and disproportionate.”
The Che team is already studying the options it has before the punishment imposed by the Competition Committee of the Spanish Federation.
Its managers explained to EFE that they maintain a maximum commitment in the fight against racism and recall that from the outset they announced the expulsion for life from Mestalla of the followers who were shown to have engaged in such behavior.
The expulsion of Vinicius remains without disciplinary effects
The same Committee of the RFEF approved to annul the red card that the footballer saw in the Valencia-Real Madrid match played on Sunday after analyzing the videos, photographs and allegations presented by Real Madrid.
This body points out that the evidence “disproves the presumption of veracity of the arbitration report” in reference to the red card that Vinicius saw in the 95th minute after escaping with the arm of a rival player in the middle of a brawl in which the Brazilian was grabbed By the neck.

“What happened would be part of a permanent and total impunity, during this season, of various actions of physical and verbal aggression, by opponents and fans, against the expelled player, all this in the face of the passivity of the arbitration team, of the RFEF and from LaLiga”, the RFEF committee has criticized.
Strong criticism of the referees
He also censures the performance of the VAR referee in the match, since he only showed the referee the image of Vinicius hitting the Valencian player Hugo Duro with his arm, but not the previous moment in which they grabbed him by the neck.
Competition also warns of the “irregularity” that supposes that there are two successive minutes of the match: a first in which no reference was made to the insults received from the stands by Vinicius and a second in which there was.
In his opinion, even this second report reflects what happened “manifestly insufficiently” by only noting that in the 73rd minute “a spectator from the south stands addressed the player (…) yelling ‘mono’ at him and did not pick up that throughout the game match there was “an indecent and significant amount of racist, denigrating and intolerant chants that, in no case, can have a place in a football stadium and that surprisingly the refereeing group did not listen”.
