Pamplona (EFE).- The candidates for the presidency of the Government of Navarra, beyond the controversy over the resignation of seven EH Bildu candidates from the electoral lists, have dealt with very varied issues this Tuesday in the campaign and, thus, have referring to issues such as education, culture and sport, taxation and the energy transition.
UPN: “We are going to put an end to indoctrination in schools”
The UPN candidate, Javier Esparza, has focused his electoral message on education and has stressed that “we are going to put an end to the lack of freedom and we are going to put an end to indoctrination in schools.”
Esparza stressed that, in terms of education, this legislature “can be summed up by zero dialogue” and by “imposition, both with educational centers and with families and with the education professionals themselves.”
The PSN advocates for a new strategic culture plan
The PSN candidate for re-election as President of the Government, María Chivite, has supported the actions in cultural and sports policy as “something that also contributes to making the Community”, and has advocated for a new Strategic Plan for Culture and for promoting the sport, especially women’s.
Showing his interest in this area, Chivite recalled that during these four years of his presidency “we have endeavored to ensure that there are sports and cultural offers in all parts of Navarra. Taking out things that were only done in Pamplona and also taking them to other municipalities, because we also understand that the rural world has to have sports and cultural activities”.
Geroa Bai: “Navarra has not become the fiscal hell that the right announces”
Mikel Asiáin, a member of Geroa Bai’s list for the Provincial Parliament, has pointed out that “Navarra has not become that fiscal hell that is announced from the right” and has denounced that “the worst thing is that they do it without any blush and more beyond our boundaries, giving a completely false image”.
Asiain has appeared together with his partner on the list María Solana, who has indicated that “only from a deep exercise of self-government can we continue advancing in the objectives of a fair, equitable, progressive and effective fiscal policy, which guarantees the financial sufficiency of Nafarroa” .
EH Bildu advocates for a “fair and democratic” energy transition
Laura Aznal, from EH Bildu, has advocated for “a just and democratic energy and ecological transition”, given the “serious crisis situation” that exists in this area, as evidenced by the fires last summer and the current drought in Navarra .
For this reason, it has exposed different measures that EH Bildu takes in its program, tending to “promote changes in habits and modes of production to reduce consumption, with reuse, recycling and revaluation as fundamental axes”.
Contigo Navarra presents measures for the rural world
The number two on the regional list of Contigo Navarra, Carlos Guzmán, has assured that “beyond Pamplona and its region, there is much more Navarra” and has presented various measures of the coalition for the development of the rural world.
“Navarra is plural, Navarra is diverse, and therefore the needs of the social majority and of the working families of Navarra are also plural and diverse,” declared the candidate at an event held in Castejón.
The PP censors the fiscal policy of the Government of Navarra
For the PP candidate, Javier García, Navarra “has entered a continuous spiral of deterioration” in aspects such as taxation, education or health. “There are families, there are companies, there are self-employed, there are entrepreneurs who pay more taxes, the reality is that, that Navarra, and according to the latest data from the Ministry of Finance, is the community that pays the most taxes in personal income tax brackets,” he denounced. .
“Navarra has the highest tax burden for everyone, but not the best public services”, said the candidate, who considered that “today Navarra has ceased to be attractive for business investment, it has ceased to be attractive for living well in this community.
