Alcorcón, May 16 (EFE) “abandon that dwelling for the benefit of its owner”.
“They have asked me to commit to it; Not only am I committed, but our bill is presented in the Congress of Deputies. Therefore, we have presented it, the problem is that the Government and its partners vote against it and the Law on nearby housing facilitates this type of illegal occupation of homes ”, he added.
This was stated during his visit to Alcorcón, where he took part in a campaign event after visiting the street market on Carballino street together with the PP candidate for mayor of the municipality, Antonio González Terol, and the general secretary of the PP in Madrid , Alfonso Serrano.
“The housing legislation in Spain has been presented by ERC and Bildu, they are the two parties that have designed the housing policy for all Spaniards when it turns out that they are parties that want to leave Spain. It is at least an inadmissible blackmail for all Spaniards”, recalled the leader of the PP.
Feijóo has also shown his commitment to “help vulnerable families, families who have difficulties to pay the rent, to pay their mortgage”, for example “with those publicly promoted or officially protected homes that the Community of Madrid”.
“Also the next mayor, to provide land to continue lowering the price of homes by increasing their supply. These are our proposals and I am convinced that Alcorcón needs this change, which can be smelled in the street”, added the leader of the PP.
In addition, Feijóo has also promised that, if he reaches the national government, they will be “ruthless with those who break the laws”, since it is evident that “the first thing that the government has to guarantee is security and compliance with the laws” , also on the subject of squatting.
“We have heard the security problems that our candidate has just described in Alcorcón: robberies, assaults on bars and establishments, illegal occupations,” he reiterated, insisting that Alcorcón is a city he is “very fond of” and where he has suffered also “the systematic deceptions of the PSOE and the left in general.”
In this sense, he recalled his time at the head of INSALUD, in the Government of José María Aznar, where he had the opportunity, “back in 1997 and 1998, to finish, equip and inaugurate the Alcorcón Hospital”, years in which “It was said that this hospital that the PP was doing from the Government was going to be a private hospital.”
“It was said that we were going to charge citizens for providing health care and even the PSOE said that there would be two types of menu, a cheaper and free menu, and a more expensive menu that the rich would pay for. As you can see, that lie from the last century continues in the 21st century, the privatization of healthcare”, he stated.
Lastly, he has shown his support for the popular González Terol, a candidate who “is a guarantee of change in Alcorcón, a guarantee of management”, since “he does not come to learn, but rather comes to serve this city and commit to one of the the most important cities in Spain such as Alcorcón”.
