Córdoba, (EFE) last year, when 852,252 entries to the venues were recorded.
The 2023 edition has been the second best visitor record in the history of the contest, which took place in 2019, before the pandemic, when 984,139 people were counted during the fourteen days of the festival that year, which represented an average of 70,295 visits per day, compared to the 69,749 average this year.
Alcázar Viejo, the patio route with the most visits
The 63 Patios that have been seen this year, 53 within the contest and 10 outside it, have been distributed in six different routes, among which those of Alcázar Viejo, Santa Marina and Judería have stood out, which have concentrated almost 60 percent of visitors.
Specifically, the Alcázar Viejo route, with a total of 12 patios, has concentrated 259,377 people during the contest, which represents 28.6 percent of the total, followed by the Santa Marina-San Agustín route, which with 8 patios has received 150,295 visitors, 16.5 percent.
Next is the Jewish quarter-San Francisco route, with 9 venues, which has received 144,481 people (15.9%); that of San Lorenzo, with 10 patios and 116,517 visits (12.8%); that of Santiago-San Pedro, with 9 courtyards and 116,104 visitors (12.8%); and that of Regina-Realejo, which with only 5 patios has received 45,843 people (5%).
On the other hand, the patios that have been seen in these thirteen days but that were out of competition have received a total of 74,124 visits, which represents 7.4 percent of the total number of people who have passed through the Cordoba venues in this edition.
Moroccans 6, the most visited
The courtyard located at Calle Marroquíes 6, on the Santa Marina route, was the most visited site in the competition with 30,273 people, narrowly compared to the second, at Calle San Basilio 44, on the Alcázar Viejo route, for 30,218 people have passed through, while the third busiest courtyard has been San Basilio 14, on the latter route as well, with 25,307 visits.
In this way, the Patios de Córdoba conclude with their best record of visitors after the pandemic break and close the equator of the May Festival of the Cordoba capital, which registers more than 80 percent hotel occupancy and whose festivities will conclude with the celebration of the Fair of Our Lady of Health between May 20 and 27.
