Pamplona (EFE).- The intense rains that have fallen in recent days in some areas of Navarra, especially in the north, have caused some flooding. This is the case of the municipality of Leitza.
In this town, the City Council has alerted the residents of the situation with a message spread through social networks. In that message it is pointed out that as a result of the heavy rain this Sunday morning has been difficult in the town.
The Consistory appreciates the work of volunteer firefighters and some residents, which is described as essential to avoid greater evils. At the same time, it calls for caution due to the risk of landslides.
The State Meteorological Agency announces rainfall for this Sunday that may be locally persistent and be accompanied by a storm on the Cantabrian slope and in the Pyrenees, subsiding in the afternoon.
In fact, the Aemet has communicated around 3:00 p.m. this Sunday that the rain alerts in the Foral Community were considered deactivated. EFE
