Industry, housing, territorial cohesion, self-government or the development of the Ribera are some of the issues that have focused the campaign messages this Saturday. In addition, the controversy over the presence of people convicted of terrorism on the EH Bildu lists has continued and the PSN-PSOE has been demanded not to reach agreements with the coalition.
The candidates for the Presidency of Navarra have held events, in addition to Pamplona, in Elizondo (EH Bildu), Tudela (PP) and Nueva Artica (UPN).
The choice of this last scenario has not been accidental, the regionalists have chosen it because it belongs to Berrioplano, a town in which the EH Bildu list includes, according to Covite’s complaint, one of the seven members of ETA that the coalition has in its candidacies in Navarra.
On this day, the Socialists have had the support of the Minister of Industry, Héctor Gómez, and the candidacy of Contigo Navarra-Zurekin Nafarroa with the support of the United Podemos MEP Idoia Villanueva and Carlos Sánchez Mato, of the federal IU.
UPN demands Pedro Sánchez “do not allow agreements” with EH Bildu and Chivite to “break” with the coalition
The UPN candidate for the Presidency of Navarra, Javier Esparza, has demanded that the socialist María Chivite “break all relations with EH Bildu” and Pedro Sánchez that “not allow agreements” with the Abertzale coalition after including ETA members convicted in their electoral lists.
Esparza has spoken in this sense in Nueva Artica, belonging to the municipality of Berrioplano, which he has specified “is not coincidental”, since the list of EH Bildu in that town includes, as Covite has denounced, one of the seven members of ETA that the coalition has on its list in Navarra, specifically Juan Carlos Arriaga Martínez, sentenced to 29 years in prison for the 1984 murder of Jesús Alcocer Jiménez.
The PSN advocates that the Navarrese industry “continue to be leading and generate employment”
The PSN is committed to continuing the aid policy, both economic and fiscal, that it has practiced in this legislature “so that our industry continues to be a cutting-edge and generating employment” and so that it can face the transformative processes necessary for it.
The socialist candidate to re-edit the presidency of the Government of Navarra, María Chivite, has said it, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Héctor Gómez. Chivite has sent an electoral message focused on this sector, in which “we must continue advancing so that our industry is competitive, help it face these great challenges and these transformations, especially digital and sustainable”.
Geroa Bai in favor of delving into the “paradigm shift” promoted by the coalition
Geroa Bai advocates for a “paradigm change” in housing policy, with aid for access to housing for young people and rehabilitation, and the construction of new subsidized housing, a dynamic that the coalition has already carried out in the 8 years in which he has been exercising government responsibilities in this area in Navarra.
The candidate for the presidency of the Provincial Executive, Uxue Barkos, has claimed it in a press appearance in which she has been very critical of the electoral “raffle” of some parties that, like the PSOE at the national level, “throws into the air proposals in this matter without coherence or rigor”, without saying where the soil will come from or with what budget it will be built.
EH Bildu is committed to local development “sustainable and rooted in the territory”
The EH Bildu candidate for the Presidency of Navarra, Laura Aznal, has placed territorial cohesion as a priority for her training and in this regard, in an act held in Elizondo, she has advocated for “sustainable and rooted in the territory” local development.
Accompanied by the candidate for mayor of Baztan, Fernando Anbustegi, she considered it necessary to develop “the entire Local Map, beginning with the constitution of the regions and guaranteeing quality public services.” She has opted for a “transition towards food sovereignty, an agro-ecological transition process, seeking more autonomous and sustainable agricultural models that produce healthy and fair food for people.”
With you Navarra aspires to achieve the “necessary strength” to defend self-government
With you Navarra-Zurekin Nafarroa has insisted on the need for the coalition to achieve “the necessary strength to work in coordination with the State and Europe to defend the self-government of Navarra with guarantees” and thus “put a stop to failed policies” in the upcoming elections ”.
In this way, the MEP of United We Can, Idoia Villanueva, and the Contigo-Zurekin candidate for the Presidency of Navarra, Begoña Alfaro, have spoken. Both have warned of the consequences of returning to the Stability Pact. In addition, they have underlined the importance of having a force like this, coordinated with Europe, to defend autonomy, self-government and the need to invest public money in social rights, education, health and new energy transition models.
The PP shows its commitment to the Ribera
The candidate for the presidency of Navarra for the Popular Party, Javier García, has moved the electoral campaign to Tudela this Saturday to show the party’s commitment to this area, since “the Ribera is a priority for the PP of Navarra”.
“La Ribera is fed up with playing in the second division and the PP has come to offer it the promotion it deserves”, summarized García, who has shown his commitment to health and key infrastructures for Navarra and La Ribera: “Our commitment to the Canal in La Ribera is total because the agri-food sector is the most important economic sector. We have to take care of it and strengthen it.” EFE
