Sports Writing (EFE).- The Spanish Isabel Contreras won this Saturday the gold medal in the K1 1000 final of the sprint canoeing World Cup that takes place in Szeged (Hungary).
The paddler from Ceuta marked a time of 4:09.25, with which she surpassed the Polish Justyna Iskrzycka, who led part of the test and completed the course with a mark of 4:10.26, followed by her compatriot Anna Pulawska (4:13.79 , to 4.54).
Olympian in Tokyo 2020, Contreras, 35, was bronze in this modality at the 2022 European Championship in Munich and was “very happy” with the result due to “the difficulty of the track” and willing “to continue adding because there is a long season left ”.
Today Antía Jácome and María Corbera also added their second medal with silver in the C2 500 final, the third metal for the woman from Pontevedra, who yesterday took bronze in the C1 200.
