Cóbreces (EFE).- Dozens of competition and classic cars, known as “Red Cars”, take over the asphalt of Cantabria at the hands of Antonio Zanini, nine times Spanish Rally Champion between 1974 and 1984 with five different vehicles and champion Europe in 1980 with Porsche.
The fourth edition of this great concentration takes place from this Friday to Sunday in the Cantabrian town of Cóbreces with different novelties, including a talk-discussion with different personalities from the field of motoring.
What remains is the culmination of “Bólides Rojos” on Sunday in the form of the traditional recognition gala for the sporting merits and professional career of different protagonists of the motor world such as the drivers and co-drivers Dani Peña and Raúl Ruiz, Manu Mora and Iván Bajo, Miguel Gutiérrez or Mario Asenjo.

Also receiving awards will be Eneko Conde, Roberto Renteria, Efren Llarena and Sara Fernandez, Paquito Martinez, Jose Emilio Criado, Juan Lopez Frade, Amadeo Aguirre, Javier Aguinaga, Moses San Martin, Manel San Martin and Juanma Fernandez Pellon, along with the Estanislao Reverter Foundation , Juliis Bilmaier and the Squire Village of Llanes.
This event in the motor world began this Friday with an act in which the President of Cantabria, Miguel Ángel Revilla, and the mayor of Alfoz de Lloredo, Enrique Bretones, as well as sponsors and other institutional representatives, took part.
The mayors of the municipalities through which the route of “Red Cars” will run, such as Alfoz de Lloredo, Torrelavega, Ruiloba, Comillas, Udías, Cabezón de la Sal, Mazcuerras, Reocín and Santillana del Mar, in addition to the councils, have also attended. neighborhoods of Novales, Cóbreces, Oreña, Rudagüera and Cigüenza.
This Friday there will also be a joint presentation of different motorsport events that will soon be held in this area of Cantabria, such as the I Rallye Alfoz de Lloredo-Cartes or the traditional Rallye de Cóbreces.

On Saturday, and as another novelty in this fourth edition of “Bólidos Rojos”, the classic car route is scheduled to start from Avenida de España in Torrelavega at 11:30 a.m., with the participation of some 115 vehicles.
At the end of the concentration, in Cóbreces, a fellowship meal will be organized with all the participants, and in the afternoon trophies will be delivered to the different categories, as well as raffles and gifts.
The concentration also includes live music, souvenir sales and an exhibition with rally cars, Dakar, circuits, mountain, autocross, karting, 4×4, classics, slalom, classic motorcycles or new dealer cars.
