Pamplona, (EFE).- The candidates for the Presidency of Navarra have launched their first voting requests in a day, in which the rain has forced to change some of the planned scenarios, which began with a debate in the SER Forum Navarra and in which, among others, issues related to health or self-government have been addressed.
Health, employment and taxation have already emerged as the first areas of action of the candidates who this Friday have asked for the vote for their formations and have talked about issues such as health, self-government or the rise in prices.
Meanwhile, outside the Foral Community, the presence on the EH Bildu lists of people convicted of terrorism has continued to be the subject of statements and initiatives such as the petition of Dignity and Justice (DyJ) to ask the Prosecutor’s Office if their inclusion complies with the provisions in the Political Parties Law.
UPN calls for “rebellion against PSN and EH Bildu”
The UPN candidate for the Presidency of Navarra, Javier Esparza, has addressed the youth and all those who are “fed up” with María Chivite’s policies, whom he has urged to join his proposal to declare themselves “in rebellion against the PSN and EH Bildu, regarding their agreements”.
In this sense, he has urged people to vote for UPN because “the vote that hurts Chivite, Sánchez and Otegi the most in Navarra is the vote for UPN, because UPN is the only party that can derail their plans.”
Primary Care, a pending issue for the PSN
The PSN candidate for the presidency of the Government of Navarra, María Chivite, has affirmed that the reform of Primary Care is “one of the issues that this legislature has left us pending.”
“We have been patching up the situation of our health system for fifteen years and we must face it,” the president of Navarra declared to the media, to whom she pointed out the need to improve accessibility to health, the resolution capacity of Attention Primary education and the “structural” problem of waiting lists.
Geroa Bai proposes a reform of the Lorafna
Geroa Bai’s candidate for the Presidency of the Government of Navarra, Uxue Barkos, has proposed a reform of the Lorafna to bring it up to date with social reality and to have citizen endorsement.
Barkos has promised to create a report in Parliament to “promote and supervise the negotiation by the Government of Navarra of the transfers still pending by the State of the powers recognized in Navarra” and “update the Lorafna”.
EH Bildu raises proposals to stop the increase in prices
The EH Bildu candidate for the presidency of the Government of Navarra, Laura Aznal, has made several proposals to stop the “uncontrolled” increase in prices, which create an “unsustainable” situation for many families.
Among other issues, he has opted for an SMI “according to the reality of Navarra”, of 1,313 euros, and pensions that are not below 1,080 euros.
Contigo-Zurekin places public health as a priority
The Contigo-Zurekin coalition has in the field of health care as an order of priorities “first public health, second public health and third public health”, an “obviousness that still today is not a reality in Navarra”.
The head of the coalition list, Begoña Alfaro, has said this in statements to journalists, who has assured that they have it “very clear” and are going to “bet on the approval of a new Provincial Health Law, a law that, although it was included in the 2019 program agreement, it has not been approved, it is an unfulfilled agreement”, and in which Primary Care must play “a central role”.
The PP defends the connection of the TAV with the Y Vasca by Ezkio
The candidate for the presidency of Navarra for the Popular Party, Javier García, has opted for the direct connection and without transfers or changes of route for the TAV because “the best, fastest and most interesting connection for Navarra is through Ezkio”.
García has pointed out the importance of the train in creating opportunities for the people of Navarra and has highlighted the importance of Navarra being connected to Europe.
