Those who are currently carrying out their work remotely will lose the authorization given during the pandemic in three months, and will have that period to request it again under the new system, Pérez specified.
Among other requirements, it is required to have sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge in the use of information and communication technologies for the performance of the professional activity and the necessary knowledge about work procedures so as not to require continuous direct supervision, as well as have a place to work from, with an internet connection, adapted to the necessary measures in terms of occupational risk prevention, and perform a job that can be carried out remotely.
For this reason, the personnel at the service of the Administration of Justice, the personnel in educational and health centers, services and establishments of the Canary Islands Health Service, socio-sanitary centers, civil servants of the General Corps of the Canary Islands Police and that of the entities are excluded. business public.
To do this, it will also be necessary for the job to have a system of objectives and indicators, or a personal work plan, drawn up by the person in charge of the unit, which allows the control and evaluation of the employee’s performance. not be physically present.
In the same way, the address must have a series of characteristics, defined in the decree, to make it possible to carry out the entrusted work.
According to the new regulation, the teleworking modality is a reversible regime and the authorization can be extinguished, regarding which the counselor has indicated that it will not be granted automatically either.
In any case, the labor requirements regarding employees who carry out their work in person are exactly the same and, if they are not met with teleworking, “the situation will have to be corrected and amended”, the counselor pointed out. EFE
