Madrid (EFE).- The 16 state museums will celebrate their international day under the motto “Museums, sustainability and well-being” with free admission on May 18 and activities for all audiences throughout the week, as reported by the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
The state museums thus join the celebration of International Museum Day 2023, promoted by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 1977, as well as the nineteenth edition of the European Night of Museums, in which they will participate with Extraordinary activities on Saturday May 13 (in Madrid, Santillana del Mar and Toledo) and Saturday May 20 (in Cartagena, Valladolid, Mérida and Valencia).
Throughout the next week, the state museums will hold workshops for adults, youth and children, concerts, guided tours, dramatized animation, conferences, performances or shows.
