Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, May 5 (EFE) which he considers that the Government of Ángel Víctor Torres has carried out.
“In recent years, the Canary Islands have had large budgets and European funds to promote a competitive productive fabric. However, a large part of the financial support that has been given to this sector has translated into unproductive investments”, Domínguez opined.
As reported by his party in a statement, the popular candidate expressed himself in these terms after a meeting held with representatives of the Melenara business park, in Telde (Gran Canaria), in which he was accompanied by a candidate from his training for mayor of the city, Sergio Ramos.
During the meeting, the PP candidate for the Presidency of the regional government denounced the “disinterest” that he believes the Canarian Executive has shown in the business sector.
“Everything indicates that the company on the islands has been poorly valued and, in light of this, we must act quickly and with certainty,” he argued.
For this reason, it is proposed to “improve the competitiveness of the industrial fabric, increase the added value of production, increase the attraction of investment and the international projection of our companies and products”, which requires “launching support measures for the innovation in the company and technological impulse, as well as the formation of human capital”.
Manuel Domínguez has emphasized the proposal of his formation to approve a law to promote the industry in the Canary Islands with the aim of attracting investment in the archipelago.
“From the PP we consider that it is a good formula to boost the industry, diversify the economy and create employment”, he added.
“With this, we would apply the best and most effective social policy that exists on the islands, which is none other than the creation of jobs, and thus face one of the most serious problems on our land with a guarantee; poverty and social exclusion ”, he has alleged. EFE
