Central Newsroom (EFE).- At least eight people have died and thirteen have been injured, of which seven are in critical condition, after a shooting occurred on Thursday night in the Serbian town of Mladenovac, about 60 kilometers from Belgrade, reports the Serbian news agency Tanjug.
Serbian police are looking for an attacker, 21-year-old UB, who according to witnesses opened fire from a moving car and a strong search device has been activated for the perpetrator of the attack, who is surrounded.
The Serbian Ministry of the Interior has reported that the “Whirlwind” operation has been launched and has indicated that the young man “is surrounded but refuses to surrender” and that he is firing shots at the police forces.
All available patrols in the area have been directed to the towns of Mladenovac and Mali Požarevac, leaving all access blocked in an operation that also involved helicopters that fly over Mladenovac.
The shooting comes two days after another in Belgrade in which a young man killed eight students and a security guard at a primary school.
