Madrid (EFE) Rodriguez Zapatero.
Socialist sources have confirmed to EFE these details of the closing of the campaign, which show the importance that the PSOE gives to the city of Barcelona in the next municipal and regional elections.
In fact, among the great electoral objectives of the PSOE, it is worth noting to take charge of the city councils of Barcelona and Valencia, to maintain the Mayor’s Office of Seville and to obtain a good position in the capital to, at least, govern with More Madrid.
Collboni, PSC candidate for Mayor of Barcelona, resigned from being first deputy mayor in the municipal government of Ada Colau and from his act as councilor in the City Council of Barcelona in order to campaign more freely.
Feijóo, in campaign all over Spain
For his part, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will tour all the autonomies, Ceuta and Melilla in the pre-campaign and campaign of the elections on May 28, and will affect especially the Community of Valencia, Castilla La-Mancha, Aragon or Madrid, where he will deliver the closing rally.
It will be in the Valencian Community on Thursday, May 11, before the rally prior to the poster hanging, which will be in Extremadura, while on Friday the 12th, the first day of the campaign, it will be in Castilla-La Mancha, in Toledo. And also the last day of the campaign will step on the Valencian Community and Castilla-La Mancha.
The PP leader will thus influence two of the territories in which his party aspires to achieve a change of government. The PP also highlights the rally on May 14 in Zaragoza, where they are looking for its until now mayor, Jorge Azcón, to take over the Government of Aragon.
The central act of the campaign will be on May 21 in the Valencia bullring, a symbolic enclave for the PP and a city where they also aspire to recover the baton of command. A day before, on May 20, Feijóo will go to Seville in his main act in Andalusia.
The former presidents of the Government, José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy, will also throw themselves into the campaign, as they have already done in the run-up to the campaign.
