Madrid, May 3 (EFE) of the Government of the Community of Madrid, after he wanted to go up to the rostrum of authorities when he was not invited.
“It is not a day for ministers, it is a day for the Government of the Community of Madrid”, Díaz Ayuso stressed this Wednesday in an interview on Cadena Ser, in which he blamed the Government for the Dos de Mayo having been seen “tarnished by this story.”
The protocol services of the Community of Madrid prevented Bolaños from accessing the stairs to the authorities’ gallery during the Dos de Mayo parade, in front of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who accompanied Díaz Ayuso together with the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles; the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida; the Chief of the Defense Staff, Teodoro López; the president of the Assembly, Eugenia Carballedo, and the regional vice president, Enrique Ossorio.
The Government alleges that the Community of Madrid failed to comply with the law that regulates the presence of public officials in institutional acts, while at Puerta del Sol they point out that the Executive was represented by the Minister of Defense, and that it had already been reported that Bolaños would not occupy a place in the stands by going as a companion to Robles without a formal invitation.
Ayuso has justified that Robles “is ahead” of the Minister of the Presidency, and the decree to which the Government alludes and only applies “when someone is invited”.
“The Government is not a master key that opens all the rooms of a hotel,” the PP leader snapped, pointing out that Bolaños wanted to “preside over” the acts of Dos de Mayo and “impose” the presidency of the Community from Madrid
Ayuso has remarked that he does not have an obligation to invite ministers but he does it because “it seems good to him”, and he has wondered where his “will as regional president” lies to decide who invites to the events of the Community of Madrid.
“Not everything is the Government, not everything is Sánchez”, he blurted out, and recalled that last year he invited the president but “he did not want to come”, and Bolaños came on his behalf.
Asked if she would criticize if this same situation happened in Catalonia and a minister’s access to an institutional act was prevented, Ayuso said that the regional governments “have legitimacy” to issue the invitations they consider and the Government “cannot impose things”. .
