Vitoria (EFE).- The Euskadi coast is preparing for a gale with a drop in temperatures of up to 15 degrees for tomorrow afternoon. This atmospheric phenomenon is expected from 8:00 p.m. this Wednesday and will travel from west to east along the Basque coast.
The Basque Department of Security has therefore activated a yellow warning as this storm is expected to move along the entire Basque coast between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., with a west-northwest wind, and gusts that could exceed 60 or 80 kilometers. per hour.
All this accompanied by a sudden drop in temperatures, which tomorrow afternoon will drop between 10 and 15 degrees.
This Tuesday the maximum temperatures will reach 25 degrees in Vitoria, 24 in Bilbao and 21 in San Sebastián. Tomorrow the thermometers will rise even higher and the day will take on a summer aspect. The wind will be set from the southeast in the morning and the thermometers will be around or exceed 30 degrees in the whole of Euskadi.
Maximum morning of 33 degrees in Bilbao
In the case of the capitals, the values will reach 33 degrees tomorrow in the Biscayan capital, 32 in Gipuzkoa and 28 in Álava. The change will come late in the afternoon with a turn of the wind to the northwest on the coast with some strong gusts.
After tomorrow’s gale Wednesday, on Thursday the temperatures will return to seasonal values and the north-northeast wind will not allow the maximum to exceed 25 degrees in any of the three Basque capitals. Cloudy and clear skies are expected, with a slightly sunnier atmosphere in the central hours of the day.
On Friday no changes in temperatures are expected, although for the weekend the Basque Meteorological Agency, Euskalmet, does foresee a drop in temperature.
