Getafe (Madrid) (EFE).- Rubén Reyes, until now sports director of Getafe, will replace Quique Sánchez Flores and will be the coach of the Madrid team, as confirmed this Friday by the entity chaired by Ángel Torres through an official statement.
After José Bordalás refused to face Getafe, Reyes accepted the challenge of trying to save a team that entered the relegation zone this day after losing 1-2 against Almería at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
“Rubén Reyes, sports director of Getafe Club de Fútbol, from this training session will be in charge of directing the first team,” announced the Madrid club.
Reyes will have the presence of the physical trainer from José Bordalás’s team, Javier Vidal, who will join the coaching staff to direct the Getafe players.
The new Getafe coach will make his debut this weekend with a game to the death against Espanyol, a direct rival for permanence. Later, he will receive Celta at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
