According to the predictions of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), likewise, the minimum temperatures will continue to be warmer than normal for the dates, with tropical nights of twenty degrees or more in southern areas, such as Andalusia.
This Thursday the thermometers will continue to rise to “abnormally” high values for the dates, especially in the interior of the southern half of the peninsula and in the Ebro valley.
However, in the north of the country there will be cloudy intervals in areas of Galicia and Cantabria, while the clouds will be high in the rest of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, as well as in the northern plateau and southern half of the peninsular Mediterranean coast.
In the afternoon there will be some cloudiness in the Cantabrian mountain range and the Pyrenees, where a weak and isolated shower or storm cannot be ruled out; In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals are forecast in the north of the islands, and little cloudiness in the south.
Temperatures up to 37 degrees
According to data published by Aemet, temperatures reached maximum temperatures above 35 degrees yesterday in large areas of Andalusia; In towns such as El Granado (Huelva) and also in the Seville neighborhood of Tablada and Las Cabezas de San Juan (Seville) temperatures exceeded 37 degrees.
Also in Andalusia at the Córdoba airport it reached 36.6 degrees this Wednesday, levels that were also around La Rambla, and in Carmona and Écija (Seville), as well as in San José del Valle (Cádiz).
In cities like Toledo the thermometers can reach up to 34 degrees today, and 35, in Ciudad Real, while in Seville they can be at 36 degrees.
The minimums will also be very high for the season, with values above 10 degrees in almost the entire country; values of 14 degrees will be reached at dawn in Albacete, Badajoz, Santander or Tarragona, and above 15 degrees, in Almería, Barcelona, Huelva or Seville. In Malaga the thermometers will reach 18 degrees, and in Cádiz, 20, according to data from Aemet.
Tomorrow the heat continues
For tomorrow, the forecast is for temperatures to continue with high values for the season, more typical of summer, especially in the interior of the southern half of the peninsula and in the Ebro valley, as in today’s session.
In Andalusian capitals such as Córdoba, it is expected that 37 degrees will be reached on Friday, and up to 36 degrees in towns such as Albacete, Jaén and Seville.
In Madrid, it will reach 32 degrees and it will also be very hot, with values of around 35 degrees in Ciudad Real, Granada or Toledo.
Likewise, night temperatures will continue to be warm in a large part of the country for the time of year, with tropical nights above 20 degrees in cities in the southern interior of the peninsula, for example in Jaén.
Below these levels, although only very slightly, the night thermometers will be located tomorrow in Albacete or Cádiz; In Badajoz, Cáceres, Barcelona, Ciudad Real, Madrid, Málaga or Zaragoza, minimum temperatures of 15 degrees will be exceeded.
It will be on Saturday when the maximum temperatures are expected to drop “remarkably” in the north of the northern plateau, the surroundings of the upper Ebro and the western Pyrenees, although they will rise in the Mediterranean area and the coast of the Gulf of Cádiz, according to Aemet.
