Logroño, (EFE).- The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, said this Thursday, in Logroño, that he has asked the European Union to include the Miranda de Ebro-Castejón railway axis, which affects La Rioja, in the network basic trans-European, which could mean more funding.
In a public pre-campaign act for the PSOE, in Logroño, he added that he supports a request made to him by the Government of La Rioja, since the European Union left this section out of the basic planning of that network.
In addition, he recalled that the Rincón de Soto railway variant, which this Thursday has been tendered for more than 75 million euros “be a reality as soon as possible.”
These railway projects are part of the initiatives “to transform society, which is what we are in politics for” but “we need to consolidate the change with a decade of progress in Spain, La Rioja and Logroño, with management experience as the best guarantee to ask for a resounding majority in the next elections”.
On the other hand, the President of the Government has indicated that, “now that we are fully entering the electoral campaign, in the league of insults, disqualifications, misinformation and hoaxes, there is no one who wins for the right, but in management, there is no one who beats the red color of the PSOE”.
“I see a right that, every time there is progress or a solution, they see it as a problem”, he added at the event, together with the socialist candidates for the Presidency of the Government of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, and for Mayor from the capital of La Rioja, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza.
