Villalar (Valladolid) (EFE).- The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (PP), has justified this Sunday with appeals to “freedom” the absence in the popular festival of Castilla y León Day in Villalar de los Comuneros of the president of the Cortes, Carlos Pollán (Vox), and the vice president of the Board, Juan García-Gallardo (Vox).
“I fulfill my responsibility and my obligation,” Mañueco summed up in statements to journalists upon his arrival at the Plaza Mayor in Villalar, where he has denied that absences decaffeinate the Community party, while he has been critical of that the PSOE, other parties and the UGT and CCOO unions did not attend the Castilla y León Awards ceremony last Friday.
Regarding this controversy, the president has said that those absent from the awards, which he has referred to as an act “probably more important” than the Villalar party, will have to give “the pertinent explanations”, at the same time that he has accused of “generating anger and blaming the person in front.”
Given this approach to absences, criticism of the opposition and appeal to freedom in the case of Vox, Mañueco has said that “everyone does what they consider to be doing” and that in his case, as regional president, the presence in the prizes and at this Villalar party it is his “responsibility”.
Manueco: “Community Day is never decaffeinated”
“Community Day is never decaffeinated”, the president has ruled, convinced that on this day “the protagonists” are the inhabitants of this land and also those who are in other parts of the country or abroad or who are Castilians and “adoption” Leonese.
“Each one celebrates it where they consider it convenient, the party is freedom”, insisted Mañueco, who has once again appealed to the 40 years of autonomy that are fulfilled in this 2023 as “pride” of “what we have achieved”. “I am proud of who I am, of what I feel, of what I have contributed”, he has maintained.
Mañueco has inaugurated the exhibition “How we have changed” in the cultural center of Villalar, which reflects the evolution of the Community in these four decades in various areas of society.
The exhibition is divided into eleven thematic blocks: the birth of the Community, the evolution of education, health, social services, equality policies, evolution of the countryside, industrial development, infrastructures, the evolution of society itself in Castilla y León and the same party of the Community.
Gallardo (Vox) speaks of Villalar as a “coven” and a “macrobotellón”
The vice president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Juan García-Gallardo (Vox), has referred this Sunday to the popular festival of Castilla y León Day that is organized every year in the historic Valladolid municipality of Villalar de los Comuneros as ” coven of the extreme left” and has denied that he has a “legal duty” to go to that “macro bottle”.
Through a tweet, García-Gallardo has defended the “right” of the “other parties”, in reference to the presence in Villalar of PP leaders with its president Alfonso Fernández Mañueco at the helm, but has maintained that this “coven of extreme left” is organized in the campaign “with the excuse of community day”.
Without express congratulations for this festive day in Castilla y León, García-Gallardo has asked “that no one say that there is a legal duty to attend that macrobottle, because it is a lie.”
