Madrid (EFE).- The X Ibero-American Audiovisual Platino Awards gala began in Madrid with the award for best first film for the Chilean film “1976”, directed by the actress Manuela Martelli.
Martelli, surrounded by a large part of her team, collected the award for “1976”, a co-production with Argentina that is a drama with hints of a thriller set in the darkest years of the dictatorship.
An award for which the Spanish “Cinco lobitos”, the Bolivian “Utama”, the Colombian “La jauría” and “La hija de todas las rabies”, a production from Nicaragua, Mexico and Spain, also competed.
Shortly before the award ceremony, the gala began full of music. First with the three presenters -Carolina Gaitán, Paz Vega and Omar Chaparro- surrounded by a large group of dancers walking up the stairs of the IFEMA Municipal Congress Hall in Madrid until they reached the stage.
A version of the popular “Oye”, popularized by singers like Elsa Beza and Chayanne, who has put a Latin accent at these Ibero-American film awards.
And then the Spanish actor Adrián Lastra took the stage to interpret “Pa Madrid”, a song by El Barrio, where the three presenters later danced a few bars of “La Macarena”, the popular song by Los del Río.
