Vigo, Apr 20 (EFE).- Celta de Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga admitted this Thursday that this “explosion” was not expected in his first season in LaLiga, which he is carrying out with “maximum calm”, despite interest from the main European clubs to get his signing.
“I am taking it as calmly as possible, but also giving value to what I am doing. I know that I still have many things to improve, this is constant learning and I have to continue in this line, ”he said in an interview with Celta television.
In this sense, the U21 international, who started the league season with a record from the subsidiary, acknowledged that he did not expect to offer the performance he is giving “so soon” because for him it was already “a dream” to reach the first team.
Two days after visiting Real Madrid, Veiga pointed out that his team is “eager” to wash away the bad image he offered in his last game with Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“We are very excited to go to a great stadium and measure ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. I see the group as very motivated, above all because we come from not having a good game against Mallorca and we want to make up for it. Anyone can have a bad game, you have to pay attention to correcting the things that we did not do well because we are on the right path, “he said.
