Madrid (EFE).- Unidas Podemos has taken advantage of the appearance of Pedro Sánchez to try to avoid in extremis that tomorrow the reform of the law of only yes is yes from the hand of the PP and Vox, in addition to asking the President of the Government to clarify that “there is no harmony” with the Italian president Giorgia Meloni.
Both the spokesman for the commons, Jaume Asens, and the Podemos deputy, Javier Sánchez, have tried to make a last effort to put pressure on Sánchez and not to return to the Penal Code of La Manada, as they believe the reform proposed by the socialists does. .
“We need one last progressive rudder and do it with the investiture bloc. The housing law is the way and with the law of the only yes is yes, look to the right, look at the majority of the investiture”, Asens has pleaded.
Javier Sánchez has also warned the president that this coalition government will have a future to the extent that it meets the expectations of the people: “this government, I am sorry to say, shakes its future when it shakes hands with the PP and Vox and returns to the Penal Code of La Manada”.
When the BOE “is written from the left and with the plurinational majority”, added the Podemos deputy, is when the coalition Executive is up to the task.
Another of the things that has come out during the turn of United We Can, that the four forces that are part of this space have shared, has been the recent visit of Sánchez to Italy in the framework of the tour that he is making to prepare the Presidency Spanish member of the EU with a direct reproach for his “silence” after meeting with the Italian far-right leader.
Although Asens has recognized that the Government must be able to meet with any president, even with the “ultra” Italian president, “what is not an option is silence”, demanding from Sánchez an explicit commitment that “there is no harmony with Meloni nor with what it represents ”.
For his part, the IU spokesman in Congress and general secretary of the PCE, Enrique Santiago, has defended “non-interference in national sovereignty and the right to territorial integrity of all peoples, both Ukraine, China, Palestine, Syria or the democratic Sahrawi Arab Republic”.
Specifically, regarding Ukraine, he has asked Spain to take advantage of the Spanish presidency of the EU to join the proposals put forward by China and Brazil to end the war or to coordinate “a European proposal with them.”
Along the same lines, the deputy of Galicia en Común and former coordinator of Podemos in the Galician community, Antón Gómez-Reino, has insisted that “the Spanish presidency must be a presidency for peace” and also that of progress in rights of women and workers’ rights and a just energy transition, he added.
