In the letter released by the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), professional arbitration shows its deep concern “for the unfortunate situation” generated around the group, in what it considers “a perfectly measured and organized campaign.”
“The leaders of LaLiga cannot permanently lament a reputational crisis in Spanish football and at the same time help generate it through a call for tension and violence against the referees in a maneuver that only leads to the devaluation of our football and their social discredit”, he adds.
The text, accompanied by a video with the title “More than 100 referees attacked”, concludes with a call to reflection to “not have to regret any more misfortunes than those that have already occurred, nor have to adopt drastic and urgent measures that would have a direct impact on our competition”.
