Valencia, April 15 (EFE).- The forest fire that started yesterday in the Casella area, in the Valencian municipality of Alzira, has burned some 40 hectares and has forced the preventive eviction of about a hundred people from homes that are in areas close to the flames.
As reported by the Emergency Coordination Center, the evolution of the fire throughout the morning has been favorable and the means deployed in the area have dedicated themselves to sealing the affected perimeter and cooling the hot spots near the natural area of La Murta .
In the area affected by the fire, a hundred ground troops and five air means continue to work, the sources have indicated.
40 hectares burned
According to initial estimates, the fire has affected some 40 hectares of forest and a hundred people have been evicted from homes near the fire since last night.
The weather forecast indicates that the winds blow with moderate force, with gusts of lift that can reach 40 kilometers per hour.
The causes of the fire have not been determined at this time. EFE
