Valladolid (EFE).- The Junta de Castilla y León has approved this Thursday a contribution of 400,000 euros to the Foundation of the Labor Relations Service (Serla), 60% less compared to almost the million euros allocated in recent years to this end, which has generated the complaint and the resources of the employers and the unions.
The spokesman for the Board, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, reported this agreement at the press conference after the Governing Council, where he announced that the idea of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment is that it be from July 1 when “senior management contracts” linked to the Foundation are excluded, in reference to its director, whose role is intended to be assumed by the General Director of Labor.
Also from that date, the intention is that the current rental expenses and the debit interests of the bank accounts are not covered either, as explained by the Ministry in a statement.
In addition, the justification of the expenses will be limited “exclusively to those linked to the management of collective conflicts and the intervention of a mediator or an arbitrator in each collective conflict attended”.
The also Minister of Economy and Finance has defended that it is a “relevant” amount, but when asked if it will be the only contribution made this year by the Board for the Serla, he has insisted that the Board of this entity -with participation of the Ministry of Industry, unions and employers- will have to make “reasonable use” of them for “greater efficiency”.
However, he added that “if it exceeds the expenses, the circumstances that determine them will be examined” in case any other contribution is necessary. EFE
