Madrid (EFE).- The Ukrainian Defense Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, will hold a working meeting this Wednesday with the Spanish head of this department, Margarita Robles, and with commanders of the Armed Forces, to analyze the aid provided by Spain to Ukraine and the evolution of warfare.
This meeting, after which both ministers will offer a press conference, takes place a few days before Spain sends six Leopard tanks to Ukraine, vehicles that belong to the more than fifty of this type that have been in disuse since a decade ago in some facilities of the Army in Casetas (Zaragoza).
At the moment, Spain will donate these six, but another four are already being conditioned, although Robles has limited the shipment to ten tanks, since to increase this number a very important economic effort would have to be made and spend a lot of time repairing, since those already conditioned required between 2,500 and 3,400 hours of work each.
Reznikov will also visit the Gómez Ulla Military Defense Hospital in Madrid to honor its director and the director of the General Defense Hospital in Zaragoza as thanks to Spain for the military and humanitarian aid it is providing to Kiev, assistance that includes welcoming of wounded Ukrainian servicemen.
