Madrid (EFE).- The Government has given the green light to the Artistic Education Bill, which will affect 140,000 students and 14,000 teachers, will bring these studies closer to the university and will establish four new teaching bodies.
In the press conference after the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, the minister spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, explained that the text has been approved in the second round and will be sent to Congress to begin its parliamentary process.
The regulation establishes the organization and equivalencies of these professions, according to Rodríguez, who has highlighted that for the Government, quality artistic training “is a fundamental pillar in the progress of a creative, innovative, flexible society prepared to face the challenges and challenges of the future”.
According to the Executive, the future law responds to a historical and widespread demand for regulation by the sector, since artistic education (Music, Dance, Dramatic Art; Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets; Plastic Arts; Design and Audiovisual Arts), that they had been left in “no man’s land.
Although its specificity and its own character are maintained, the project tries to bring higher education closer to the University model (since they lead to equivalent qualifications for all purposes); and the professionals to the FP model.
