Madrid (EFE).- The spokesperson for Más Madrid in the regional Assembly, Mónica García, has assured that Podemos “tried not to respect” the independence of her party, unlike the vice president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, who recently presented the Sumar platform and that it does “respect the autonomy” of Más Madrid.
In an interview with El Mundo, the candidate to preside over the Community of Madrid after the 28-M elections considers that her expectations are “good” and that she is “in a position to dispute the Government of the Community” with the Madrid president: ” We are clearly growing, we are the most real alternative to Mrs. Ayuso and the PP in Madrid”.
Asked if her approach to Yolanda Díaz and Sumar benefits her, García has defended the need to “talk about Madrid and make politics that people understand, go to the neighborhoods, which is a job we’ve been doing for a few years. And that is in tune with other projects like Sumar”.
In his opinion, the best endorsement of his party is “arriving with the job done” and that what mobilizes the vote is “talking about the problems of the people, the elderly in nursing homes eating slop, young people without access to housing, of the real problems”.
