Madrid (EFE).- The team responsible for “Barbie, The Movie”, a film translation of the adventures of the popular doll, has confirmed the presence in its cast of the singer Dua Lipa in what is one of her first roles in the big screen.
With electric blue hair and the legend “this Barbie is a mermaid”, the news has been released through the film’s official profile on Instagram, which has published images of all the actors participating in it.
Dua Lipa’s role in this colorful comedy will mark the British singer-songwriter’s leap into the big screen along with that of the spy thriller “Argylle,” which is an Apple TV+ adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Ellie Conway. and in which Dua Lipa has worked under the orders of Matthew Vaughn together with Henry Cavill.
Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film adaptation of “Barbie” will hit theaters in July this year with Margot Robbie as the flesh and blood version of the leading doll and Ryan Gosling in the role of his eternal partner, Ken.
