Madrid (EFE).- In February, 4.32 million international tourists came to Spain, almost the same as before the covid, but their spending was 14.3% higher, which consolidates the trend of previous months, with trips more expensive.
According to the data published this Monday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), in the surveys of tourist entries, Frontur, and associated spending, Egatur, those 4.32 million entered last February (4.38 million in February of 2019) that spent 5,326 million euros, compared to 4,658 million then.
Average spending per tourist stood at 1,233 euros in February, 3.8% more than a year earlier, and average spending per person grew 19.2%, to 163 euros.
