Valencia (EFE). The Consell’s savings basket for families, with the aim of mitigating the effects of the price rise, could reach 4,500 euros per year for a family of four with two children aged 2 and 6 and an individual income of 30,000 and 38,000 euros.
These are the calculations of the General Director of Coordination and Social Dialogue, Zulima Pérez, who has detailed that, in the case of a couple of young people under 35 years of age who live for rent, with incomes of 18,000 and 21,000 euros respectively, the savings would reach 3,570 euros.
“The Consumption Bonus, the Youth Rental Bonus, the help for the increase in mortgage interest rates, the reductions in public transport and free for young people, the tax reduction for incomes of less than 60,000 euros and the reduction of 10 % in public rates and prices have partly alleviated the daily expenses borne by families in the Community”, said the general director of Coordination and Social Dialogue, Zulima Pérez.
Likewise, he recalled that free schooling from 2 to 3 years has been established, the Xarxa Llibres initiative has been extended to Baccalaureate and the dining room scholarships have been adapted to ensure 100% for beneficiary students from areas declared catastrophic for having suffered, for example, a fire.
“In addition, the entire set of deductions previously implemented in the Valencian Community is still in force,” said Zulima Pérez.
Consell savings basket: two examples
Thus, a family of four members with two children aged 2 and 6 and an individual income of 30,000 euros and 38,000 euros would benefit, thanks to the tax reform carried out by the Consell, with savings of 845 euros, taking into account the new personal income tax rate, the increase in the personal and family minimum and the increase in deductions and their limits.
To this amount would be added the savings that schooling their 2-year-old son will have for free in a public or private nursery school, which would amount to 2,800 euros per year (280 euros per month).
The 6-year-old son would participate in the Xarxa Llibres program, which allows free textbooks, which would mean additional savings of 300 euros a year.
The father, a regular metro user, would only pay 17.50 euros for his SUMA monthly metro pass with unlimited journeys, which would mean a saving of 330 euros per year; while the mother would pay 4 euros for the 10-trip SUMA card that she uses every month, which would mean a saving of 240 euros per year. These savings are calculated for zone 1 of Valencia.
In total, the savings that the measures implemented by the Consell would mean for this family of four would reach 4,515 euros, an amount that could be increased if other current aid were applied, which has not been considered in this case.
In the case of a young couple under the age of 35 without children, with an individual income of 18,000 and 21,000, who live rented and pay 8,000 euros per year for it, they could benefit from the Youth Rental Bonus, which would provide them with direct annual assistance of 3,000 euros ( 250 euros per month).
In addition, if one of them has a monthly SUMA card with unlimited journeys, they would save 330 euros per year and, in the event that the other member of the couple chose to get a voucher for 10 trips each month, they would save 240 euros.
In total, the savings that the measures implemented by the Consell would mean for this young couple who live for rent would reach 3,570 euros.
“This last week, the president has announced three measures that will mean savings for families of close to 100 million euros and that will benefit more than half a million people,” he detailed.
The Youth Rental Bonus provides 250 euros per month for 2 years for young people under 35 with the aim of facilitating their emancipation for rents equal to or less than 770 euros per month, while in the case of renting a room the maximum is 300 euros.
The Consell has also launched aid aimed at offsetting the increase in interest rates on variable mortgages that can benefit a total of 30,000 families.
For its part, the Shopping Basket Bonus consists of a 90-euro aid for the payment of food in any establishment in the food sector of the Valencian Community.
