Castellón (EFE).- The Castellón fire celebrates its eighth active day this Friday after a “quiet and incident-free” morning, according to the direction of the Advanced Command Post (PMA), despite the gusts of up to 20 km/h that they have blown in the area but it has not favored the appearance of flame in the embers.
According to Emergencies of the Valencian Generalitat, during the night the drones of the Military Emergency Unit (UME) have returned to work to identify hot spots, while the area of greatest activity is the northern slope in areas of difficult access.
The WFP has planned first thing in the morning to continue with water discharges in those most inaccessible points for terrestrial means, specifically through eight aerial means that will be incorporated during dawn. As for terrestrial means, about 120 people will work.
As for the weather, tonight there was around 50% humidity and the wind since four in the morning has reached up to 20 km/h, but has not caused a flame in the embers; the temperature has been between 12 and 15 degrees and there has been no dew.
