Valencia (EFE) expect strong winds from the west and humidity below 20 percent.
According to Emergencies of the Valencian Generalitat, during the day today it is planned to work with the aerial means to act on any possible ignition caused by the west wind, especially in areas not accessible by land means.
During the night, the weather conditions have been favorable and the temperature has been between 7 and 10 degrees, with humidity around 50 percent and little wind. However, today Thursday and tomorrow Friday the models are at high risk for the evolution of the fire.
The forecast for today and tomorrow is of high risk, since changes in the wind regime (with gusts of more than 70 kilometers per hour and humidity less than 20%) can produce regrowth with a chimney effect that can cause propagations to occur rapid and large columns of smoke that would reach very high altitudes.
During the night the entire perimeter has been covered and no significant incidents have been observed, according to the sources, which have indicated that drone flights have been carried out and “some more activity has been detected, but little notable”.
The fire has already devastated 4,700 hectares
The forest fire, which broke out last Thursday in Villanueva de Viver and has so far devastated 4,700 hectares, has a perimeter of more than 50 kilometers and around 300 ground troops and 17 aerial means are working on it.
The critical points continue in the same areas for today: in the area where the fall was recorded (CV-195 road in Montan) and in the Fuente La Reina area (Pudia ravine).
Likewise, Civil Guard controls are maintained in Villanueva de Viver (exclusive access by CV207 from Barracas); Puebla de Arenoso and its districts of Los Cantos and La Monzona (access CV 20 from Orba to Teruel); Higueras (access CV203 from Caudiel); and Pavías (CV203 access from Caudiel).
