Sánchez set the climate emergency and the fight against poverty and inequality as priorities, and it was in this context that he proposed calling another forum of progressive leaders on the sidelines of the summit to be held in September in New York to analyze the evolution of the sustainable development goals pursued by the UN.
A summit in turn convened on the occasion of the opening of the new session of the United Nations Assembly.
In that progressive forum, Sánchez said that the leaders of this political family from around the world will be able to vindicate the progress agenda represented by those UN objectives with an eye toward 2030.
And to achieve these objectives, he encouraged the mobilization of all the talent of progressive principles and highlighted the crucial role of Ibero-America in that goal.
