Seville, (EFE) of the municipal elections of 28-M.
The sessions, which will be chaired by Judge Mercedes Alaya, initial instructor of the macro-cause of the false ERE, will begin on Friday, May 19, with the prologue of the day before the constitution of the popular jury, will last the following week and will end on Friday the 26th. Therefore, the FAFFE trial will end the day before the day of reflection of the local elections of 28-M, according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).
Alaya, belonging to the Seventh Section of the Hearing, will be the presiding magistrate of the court that will be in charge of this trial by popular jury, in which the former director of the FAFFE Fernando Villén and the former financial economic director of the entity Ana Valls are accused of a continuous crime of embezzlement of public funds, in competition with a continuous crime of falsifying an official document committed by a public official.
The indictment states that Villén would have spent a total of 32,566 euros in prostitution venues through the use of FAFFE bank cards, “expenses paid from FAFFE funds.”
The Journal Books of the FAFFE
It is added that in order to “hide the illegal provision of public funds”, Villén, in collusion with the FAFFE’s economic and financial director between 2004 and 2011, “would have devised a system that simulated the refunds of the aforementioned charges made by the defendant”, so that, “in the Daily Books of the Faffe there are entries for the return of the aforementioned amounts that do not correspond to reality”.
When the trial begins, the parliamentary commission of investigation into the FAFFE case will have been set up, an initiative that has had the support of PP and Vox and whose work will begin next week without the presence of PSOE representatives and Por Andalucía, who have decided not to participate in it.
The commission intends to resume the work carried out by the investigation commission on the extinct FAFFE in the last legislature and whose conclusions were not raised to the Plenary session last year due to the dissolution of the Chamber for the celebration of the regional elections of June 19, 2022 .
The opinion of the last commission, which investigated the hiring of personnel and the use of cards with public money in brothels and parties, among other matters, points to the former director of the Fernando Villén Foundation as the main person responsible.
The responsibility of Chaves and Griñán
It also considers the former president of the Board Manuel Chaves and José Antonio Griñán, both convicted in the case of the ERE, for being “clear the organizational chaos into which they plunged” the autonomous administration during their mandates.
The Minister for Sustainability, the Environment and the Blue Economy and government spokesman, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, told journalists on this matter this Friday that it is “a shame” that Andalusia is back in the news “due to a new case of corruption linked to to the socialist stage.
“It is demeaning to see how they squandered the money of all Andalusians and of course we cannot tolerate that they are the ones who come to give us lessons to an honest government, a serious government and a committed government like that of Juanma Moreno, who has managed to that nightmare is a thing of the past in Andalusia”, he stressed.
